Cost of services
We have detailed the cost of Diagnostic Assessments AT and Laboratory Tests List and consultation Costs 2017 following these links. We may adjust the cost at any time in response to changes in inflation and currency exchange rates as some of our products originate from the rest of Europe and the United States. We may revise the cost of our services annually to account for economic changes.
You may book appointments with us in person, by telephone or by email. Advanced bookings may be refused to clients who miss two or more appointments without prior notification. Our policy is then to request a fee of £90 + VAT for any further booking to be made.
We recommend that you arrive before your appointment time, allowing sufficient travel time. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we may reschedule your treatment for another time and you may be charged up to the full cost of your appointment. If you arrive late and receive a shorter treatment than normal, you agree to pay the full cost of that treatment.
Remote communications by electronic means
Some consultations can be conducted over the phone, Skype or Google hangout. At the time of the consultation you will contact us using the pre-arranged means of communication. If you contact us more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we may reschedule your appointment for another time and you may be charged up to the full cost of your appointment. If you call us late and receive a shorter consultation than normal, you agree to pay the full cost of that treatment.
Appointment confirmation and cancellations
If you provide a landline telephone number (rather than a mobile telephone number), we will attempt to call you the day before your treatment to confirm the time and date of your booking. If you provide us with a mobile telephone number, we will send you a SMS text message to confirm the time and date of your booking.
If you give us less than 24 hours’ notice when cancelling a booking, you agree to pay up to the full cost of your treatment. If your booking is cancelled within one week before your consultation date, a cancellation fee of £60 will be applied. We sometimes need to contact you to change the time and/or date of your booking. Whenever possible, we will give you as much notice as we can when doing this. In the instance of unforeseen staff illness, we may be forced to reschedule your appointment at short notice.
Treatments and services
All new patients will only be treated after receiving an initial consultation, which may involve physical examination or advice.
Before receiving further advice or treatment you may be asked to complete a consent form. If you decline to accept these terms and conditions (as indicated on the new client/patient information form) no treatment/services will be offered.
We may ask you for full payment or a deposit, in advance, in order to secure any booking. This payment is non-refundable in the absence of mitigating circumstances, but may be put towards the cost of future consultation or any cancellation charges applied. Mitigating circumstances include genuine, unforeseen ill health or personal crisis. In the majority of cases, payment is completed on the day of consultation. If you do not pay in full on the day of your treatment, we will not accept further bookings until any outstanding amounts have been paid in full. Using a credit card for payment incurs a £1.00 surcharge. We accept payment by cash, VISA / Mastercard debit & credit cards, or cheque.
Payment by telephone
We can accept payment by telephone using a debit or credit card. Payment by credit card over the phone incurs a £1.00 surcharge. To do this, we need your full name and the address where the card is registered plus card security details. All security data will be handled in the strictest confidence and will not be retained in the clinic after payment is authorised. If requested, we will post a receipt to an address of your choice.
PayPal online payment and payment by standing order
Phone consultations can also be paid online no later than 7 days after receiving your invoice. Our consultation report will only be issued following the reception of your payment. On occasions, we can mutually agree to have a standing order arranged to pay by monthly instalments (for up to 3 months). For this to be arranged, we would ask you to sign a payment plan. We will deliver our report and services following receipt of the first instalment.
We will provide you with a written receipt upon request, detailing the treatment received and the name of the payee. Use of a credit or debit card automatically generates a receipt, which can be sent by e-mail.
Supplements and lab tests
We request that all lab tests and supplements are paid for in advance in order for us to make the necessary arrangements and ship the supplements to you. Laboratory tests are commissioned with a range of laboratories in the UK, EU and USA. The cost of these tests does not include the analysis of the results and treatment plan. These will be covered in a separate consultation after reception of the lab results.
Caudwell Children funded families
Families receiving funding from Caudwell Children will be required to provide us with a reference number. We reserve the right to contact Caudwell Children to confirm that you are in receipt of funding. It is your responsibility to ensure that there are sufficient funds to cover the services incurred. In the event that you run out of funding and there is an outstanding balance, you agree to cover the balance in full in no less than 3 months following the issue of our statement. A standing order may be arranged to cover the remaining balance. Please note Caudwell Children does not fund new programmes as of March 2017.
If you have a complaint about the service you have received from us, you are welcome to consult one of our colleagues for a second opinion. If you are unable to accept the second professional opinion from us, you may put your complaint in writing to the director of Autism Treatment Plus Limited for further consideration.
We will refuse providing advice to families who behave in an ill-mannered, aggressive or hostile way towards any member of staff. This includes the inconsiderate expectation to respond immediately to messages or excessive e-mail or phone requests. In such instances, we will issue a written warning and on second occurrence of such problem, we will discontinue our services to families.
At our discretion, we can offer a full refund on retail products if they are unused, in their original packaging, in a fully saleable condition and are accompanied by a relevant receipt, presented within 28 days of purchase. We do not offer a refund for treatments/services received unless we acknowledge that the service received was below the professional standard we strive to achieve.

Any information you give us during your treatment is protected under the Data Protection Act. Your records may be kept on paper or electronically. We will not pass any of your details on to anyone outside of Autism Treatment Plus Limited without your express permission. An example of someone we might contact on your behalf is your doctor if we feel you need medical investigation of some kind. We may use your address details to post you supplements, information about new treatments, newsletters or special offers unless you decline this service. We will only use your telephone numbers and e-mail address for contacting you about your appointment time. Our reports, invoices, statements and receipts will be sent electronically by e-mail unless asked. We will use your e-mail address to send our quarterly newsletter. You can unregister from this service at any point. We will not use your telephone numbers for marketing purposes.
AT+ aims to conduct some research and evaluation of the treatment protocols whenever possible. As one of our families, you may be offered the opportunity to enrol in one of our studies. However, this is subject to the study requirements, and in particular with regard to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, therefore your child may not be eligible to participate. If you do take part in a study, a full study protocol will be provided and a signed consent form will be requested in order for your child to participate. You may withdraw from the study at any point. We may also ask to use some of your child’s data (laboratory results, behavioural, clinical and developmental profile) anonymously to report our findings at conferences or in the form of publications. At no point would the data shared enable the identification of your child. We will inform you in advance were we to use your child’s information and explain exactly how we intend to use it. We would ask for a signed consent form to be provided to cover the use of such information.
If you are in need of medical assistance, please contact your GP or local hospital. No dietary, nutritional and behavioural information, services, or materials offered by or through AT+ shall be construed as or understood to be medical care. The medical advice provided by our medical consultants should be seen as advice only. Please discuss any concerns with your GP or hospital consultant.
