The ADOS/ADI-R session 2 training package that follows directly the ADOS and ADI-R training session 1. Week 1 is designed to provides the participants with sufficient degree of knowledge and familiarity with these tools to practice in administering and coding with volunteers. On week 2, the participants will have practiced administering and coding 2 ADOS (Module 1 or 2 and module 3 or 4) and 2 ADI-R (child and adult). The week will provide further opportunities to review the participant’s work and practice with volunteers.

The course will cover a range of research and clinical applications to these assessments. An overview of further cognitive and psychometric assessments will also be given to give further appreciation of the tools available for a full individual profile evaluation.

Requirement

Typical applicants will have a background in psychology, psychiatry, paediatrics, nursing, speech therapy or similar, and will be currently employed in that capacity either as a clinician, part of a clinical team or part of a research team. Qualifications and employment information must be provided on the course application form. Participants must have access to an ADOS Kit (Hogrefe product code 5580001) for completing the pre-course and post-course assignments and be in a position to video record their sessions for evaluation.
